Blacklist of Defaulters at Datassur / Insurer Refuses to Insure
Failure to pay your insurance premiums will result in your registration as a defaulter on the Datassur blacklist. This could be grounds for the insurer to refuse coverage.
To find out if you are on the list, you can write to Datassur and provide a front-and-back copy of your ID card.
If you believe you have been wrongly included on the list, provide a certificate from the insurer and request that Datassur remove you from the blacklist. Datassur may not refuse to do so. If they do refuse, it's best to escalate the matter to the Insurance Ombudsman.
